Skye Flanagan

Skye Flanagan has dedicated more than 24 years to education, including 13 years as a teacher and basketball and football coach, followed by 11 years in school administration. Throughout his career, he has worked with students at every grade level, from kindergarten through high school. His administrative experience has all been within Baker School District, serving two years at Haines Elementary School, four years at Baker Middle School, and the past five years at Baker High School.

Mr. Flanagan has called Baker home for nearly 30 years. He and his wife have raised three children, all graduates of Baker High School, and are now enjoying time with their grandchild. He earned his undergraduate degree in International Relations with a concentration in Educational Studies from Carleton College, a Master of Teaching degree from Eastern Oregon University, and his administrative credential through Concordia University Chicago.

Throughout his career, Mr. Flanagan's focus has remained the same: ensuring that every student has access to opportunities for success and knows there is a trusted adult in their educational journey who will listen, support, and encourage them. Outside of school, he enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
